Artist Bio: Kris Doe

A Southern California native, Kris was raised in the presence of the magnificent San Gabriel Mountains and the tall, sun-splashed palms of Pasadena, CA.

Having lived in states such as Arizona, Texas, and Alaska, an appreciation for the beauty of natural landscapes and vistas was instilled early in life.

Returning to Pasadena, Kris attended Art Center College of Design where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in illustration. Strongly inspired by the pop culture that was exploding around him during the 1960's, Kris brings these influences and his love of design and artistic trends from the turn of the 20th Century to his work as a painter, craftsman, and restoration specialist.

Kris now resides in the central California coastal town of San Luis Obispo where he continues to pursue his love of landscape painting in addition to conducting painting courses for Cuesta College.
